Hawkeye Football | Iowa adds Walk-on Linebacker and Quarterback

The Hawkeye football team has added two new faces for 2011. Wisconsin linebacker Macon Plewa and Ames, Iowa quarterback Kyle Anderson will walk-on to the team this Fall.

Per Rivals, Plewa didn't have offers to play division I football but he decided to pursue his dream. He told HR's Blair Sanderson ""I'm going to Iowa," said Plewa. "It's a dream come true for me. I'm ready to put in some hard work and hopefully make an impact on the team as soon as possible. I'm really excited about it." Plewa discussed walking on with the in-state Badgers but was sold on the Hawkeyes.

Plewa has several videos on the web, here are a couple of the 6'2" 215 pound linebacker:

Hawkeye Report has the news about Kyle Anderson today on their front page. The 6'2" 205 pound quarterback says the decision to join Iowa was an "easy one." Like Plewa, Anderson did not have division I offers but did have offers from DII schools.

Anderson also has YouTube videos, take a look:
