Apparently Nealy was part of a group on a hunt maybe? The report says a BB gun was found on the scene. Any-who, let's make the trip over to CycloneFanatic and see what the Clone fans are saying.
Here is the discussion, a thread titled: Devondrick Nealy in a bit of trouble? Already?
Senolcyc proclaims!
"ISU cops are a laughing stock. Thankfully they aren't armed. "
Stormin agrees:
"Agree that ISU police are a complete joke. Hope the officer giving the citation feels like the big man "Barney Fife" officer that he is."
khaal53 finds a lesson in all of this:
"Might as well learn early through a minor incident that your under a microscope in Ames."
Rustshack is livid:
RayShimely speaks!
sunnysideup takes the other side:
JY07 says:
Cyclone Erik writes:
"Its against the amendments to get introuble for being verbal with an officer. If he wants to fight it he would win. Just some piece of **** cop(like most of them) trying to act tough."
RayShimely speaks!
"It seems that all of CF can come together in agreement that the majority of ISU DPS officers are worthless."
sunnysideup takes the other side:
"I'm sorry guys but this thread reminds me of what Hok fans do when one of their kids makes it onto the inmate roster, blame it on the police. Look, the kid screwed up and apparently did enough to get nailed for it. Hopefully he wises up and this is nothing but a blip on the radar for his career. But trying to deflect all this on the cop that arrested him is nothing more than making excuses. "Senolcyc chimes in again:
"We don't know what he did. We weren't there. We do know ISU cops fall somewhere around Barney Fife and Paul Blart for authority and competence. He's a freshman; he probably didn't even realize they were "real cops" who could actual cite him. No gun and a plastic badge can throw a guy off. "
JY07 says:
" there was a group w/ bb guns (acting like they were real) trying to mug people on campus late saturday night; must have been with them. "
Cyclone Erik writes:
"This is starting to resemble the early stages of the out-of-control years in Iowa City.Really, it would be nice to go a month without a story like this. Even freshmen can find better ways to entertain themselves in Ames. It's not that hard. "
And you know the drill, those quotes are just the tip of the iceberg. For more fun Cyclone logic check out the rest of that thread. It's over 10 pages now, I think.
