PSD's Twitter Top 25 | A Look at the Key Match-Ups For Week 8

Again, if you missed this week's Twitter Top 25, here it is in all of its glory. Now, let's take a look at the biggest games of the weekend.

October 22, 2011 11:00 AM CST (ESPN)

North Carolina at #8 Clemson
Spread: Clemson -10.5

North Carolina was sneaking up the rankings but has since lost two of the last three games. The Tar Heels fell to once rated #12 Georgia Tech and last week to Miami. Clemson has been the one of the nation's hottest teams beginning the season in the "others receiving votes" section and now the #8 team in the country. Clemson should continue to roll but will have to do it without freshman linebacker Tony Steward. The Tigers still have Sammy Watkins though and he may be the most exciting player in the ACC.

October 22, 2011 2:30 PM CST (CBS)

#21 Auburn at #1 LSU
Spread: LSU -21

Auburn has bounced in-and-out of the rankings like a basketball. They are back in this week at #21, just in time to take on the nation's #1 team. LSU is a big favorite despite losing Tyrann Mathieu and Spencer Ware to suspension. Auburn will start their third quarterback of the season. The timing is rough as they head to the Bayou to face the nation's top defense.

October 22, 2011 2:30 PM CST (ESPN)

#20 Georgia Tech at Miami (Fl)
Spread: Miami -3

In the opening weeks of the season Georgia Tech was lighting the scoreboard and running up the offensive stats. They were the ACC's highest rated team until the rise of Clemson. Now the Yellow Jackets are in jeopardy of dropping from the Top 25 if they lose on the road in Miami. Vegas has the Hurricanes as a three point favorite at home. The Yellow Jackets will return home next week to host Clemson and the following week Virginia Tech.

October 22, 2011 7:00 PM CST (ESPN)

#4 Wisconsin at #12 Michigan State
Spread: Wisconsin -7.5

This could be a preview of the Big Ten Championship game in December. Wisconsin has rolled everyone on their schedule but they haven't faced a defense like Michigan State's. The Spartans are coming off a beat down of in-state rival Michigan while Wisconsin had a tune up at Indiana. Wisconsin's leading receiver Nick Toon has been dinged up and but the running game is their bread-and-butter. Russell Wilson has his name among the Heisman hopefuls and another big showing in prime time could push his name to the top of the list.

Other games of note (all games October 22, 2011):

11:00 AM CST (FX)

#6 Oklahoma State at Missouri
Spread: OSU -6.5

Okie State wants the keep the good times rolling. Mizzu can salvage a 3-3 season with a win over a Top 10 team.

6:30 PM CST (NBC)

USC at Notre Dame
Spread: ND -8.5

Both teams are hovering around the Top 25. One will stay and one will go.

7:00 PM CST (CBS Sports Network)

SMU at Southern Mississippi
Spread: S Miss -3

Both teams sit at 5-1 and outside the Top 25. Both are receiving votes and the winner could make their season debut in Week 8's poll.

7:00 PM CST (ABC Regional)

#24 Washington at #5 Stanford
Spead: Stanford -20

The Cardinal need wins over ranked teams to be relevant in the BCS. Washington hits the road and will need to pull off the upset to remain in the Top 25.
